A catastrophic blast at a police station in the Kashmir region under Indian control has led to the fatalities of nine individuals and wounding to thirty-two additional people, according to police declarations.

The blast happened on Friday night at the Nowgam police station, where detonation agents taken from Faridabad in the northern province of Haryana province were being stored temporarily.
Regional law enforcement head announced that the blast materials were pending forensic examination when a "extremely tragic" incident during management led to their detonation at approximately 23:20 in the evening.

"The force of the explosion was so powerful that some human remains were retrieved from close-by residences, approximately 100-200 meters distant the police station," mentioned an authority informant.
The majority of the fatalities were law enforcement personnel, along with forensic personnel, two evidence documentation specialists, and a garment worker who was accompanying the group.
